With the season now fully underway, we are now getting an idea on how the various franchises in the NBA are doing at the moment. Now that we know which teams are performing above or under expectations set by the preseason NBA 2018 odds, it has become much easier for the best punters to determine which teams will be able to win games.
However, we have to consider that the game has progressed to a degree that every single team can possibly win on a particularly good night. Even the worst teams in the association can pull off a spectacular night of basketball if all of the stars align.
That doesn’t happen very often, though. If you want to get some sure results while watching some good basketball, I’d recommend keeping your eye on the Los Angeles Lakers, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors. These three teams will be playing some good basketball and will be providing good winnings and entertainment for the SBOBET punter.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Minnesota Timberwolves (November 19, 04:30 GMT+8)
The Memphis Grizzlies are having a middling season as they try to milk out everything they can from the Mike Conley–Marc Gasol duo. While not a lot expect them to perform against a stacked Western Conference, pundits have enough reason to believe that they will be able to mount a fierce resistance in their crowded conference.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have been playing well since they traded Jimmy Butler away. Their one-sided romp of the Blazers showed that the Timberwolves have found a sense of unity and purpose after finally giving in to Butler’s request of moving away from the franchise’s young stars.
The question now lies on whether the Timberwolves can keep up on their bright start with Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. I think the two can manage to stop the Grizzlies at home as long as they remain focused on the task at hand.
Los Angeles Lakers @ Miami Heat (November 19, 07:00 GMT+8)
A bit of LeBron James magic ensured that everything is right in La La Land again, and he’s expected to do it all again when he returns to South Beach to play Dwyane Wade‘s Miami Heat team.
LeBron has been putting up monster numbers in order to put the Lakers on a fantastic winning run that started in their game against the Timberwolves. It’s hard to believe that the 33-year-old Akron, Ohio native is at such a stage of his career when we look at his overall production for the Purple and Gold.
The Heat will be an interesting match for the Lakers. While they aren’t the toughest team in the Eastern Conference, they have managed to pull off good results against teams that are below their level. If the Heat would be able to put a cap on LeBron, then we might see them pull off one of the most satisfying upsets of the day.
New York Knicks @ Orlando Magic (November 19, 07:00 GMT+8)
I have to say that the Orlando Magic are easily one of the most impressive teams through the early NBA season. Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon are leading the team on both ends of the floor, and their wins against the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers have shown that the Magic have been playing well as of late.
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are still far from finishing their rebuild. With only Tim Hardaway Jr. to lead them, the Knicks have suffered tough losses day in and day out. I don’t think they’ll do well against the Magic as they easily lost to them a week ago.
Portland Trail Blazers @ Washington Wizards (November 19, 07:00 GMT+8)
Things have been going well so far up north as the Blazers maintain a solid 10-5 start to their season. Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic are doing a lot of work to put the Blazers in the second seed of the extremely tough Western Conference.
They should have no problem beating down a struggling Washington Wizards ball club that has a win-loss record opposite of theirs. While Bradley Beal and John Wall have been playing good basketball, I think the team is underperforming to the point that it’s not weird to hear about blowing the team up within the next season.
If the Blazers fail to win here, there might be a serious matter that needs to be addressed.
Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs (November 19, 08:00 GMT+8)
The apparently finished feud between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green during the Golden State Warriors’ loss against the LA Clippers was the biggest NBA 2018 news for a good couple of days. The seemingly indestructible Warriors showed cracks as the tirades that got shot across the locker room were revealed to the press.
While it has been claimed that things have been patched up between the two All-Star team-mates, Green still wouldn’t be playing against the Spurs due to a niggling toe injury. This is a great chance for the San Antonio Spurs to steal the game from under their noses since Green is an important defensive presence for the Dubs.
However, expect Durant and Klay Thompson to put on a shooting clinic for all of us. I think the Warriors are just too good to lose another game at this point.
