Only eight teams remain and Champions League football betting starts now!
The biggest club competition in all of Europe is set to take centre stage again as the best of the best tussle to get the early advantage in the quarter-final ties.
Anything – even the impossible – can happen from here on out, but here’s what you can expect from the midweek football games that are predicted to send fireworks all over the globe.
Juventus vs Barcelona (April 12, 02:45 GMT+8)
With the Coppa Italia and Serie A titles within reach, Juventus will be determined to bag the highly-coveted treble. Although their recent 3-2 loss to Napoli somehow dampened expectations, they are still slight favourites to win this first-leg tie as they’ll be playing at Turin where they haven’t lost all season.
Barcelona, of course, can’t be counted out with their comeback magic; and the fact that they are averaging more than three goals in their last three games makes them even more dangerous opponents.
A draw is a likely result here, but with so much attacking talent gathered, I expect goals to keep coming. With that said, a 🌟🌟🌟 punt on goals Over 2.50 @ 2.05 seems like a logical choice.
Borussia Dortmund vs Monaco (April 12, 02:45 GMT+8)
Dortmund are another team difficult to beat at home, so Monaco will certainly have their hands full when they visit the Signal Iduna Park.
In Radamel Falcao, Monaco have a striker who can match the scoring pedigree of BVB’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; however, I won’t put my hopes up on the oft-injured 31-year-old Colombian who just recently recovered from a hip injury.
It shouldn’t also help the Ligue 1 leaders that they haven’t won in their last three away games in the tournament, so a 🌟🌟 tip for me is Dortmund Asian Handicap -0.75 @ 1.86.
Atletico Madrid vs Leicester City (April 13, 02:45 GMT+8)
A lot of teams were hoping to be drawn against the less-dangerous Leicester in the quarter-finals, but as what we have learned in the past few weeks, Craig Shakespeare’s side shouldn’t be written off.
Sure enough, with Antoine Griezmann leading the frontline, Atletico have little to worry about, but this is exactly the kind of prey the Foxes like to pounce on – relaxed and unknowing.
Leicester have been on a tear on both ends of the pitch since Shakespeare took the helm, averaging at least two goals a game while having three clean sheets already. Hence, as risky as it may seem, a 🌟 bet on the Foxes Asian Handicap +1.50 @ 1.95 is a solid proposition.
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid (April 13, 02:45 GMT+8)
Although Bayern have the advantage playing at the Allianz Arena with Robert Lewandowski in excellent condition, their recent midweek loss in the Bundesliga will make them a little more cautious.
Real Madrid also have some issues they need to address—particularly with some players asking for Cristiano Ronaldo to be dropped due to his poor form—but they still have the depth and talent to challenge the Bavarians.
This meeting is expected to be a tightly-contested affair, though I think Los Blancos can pull off a win here especially if they tack their defence and attack on the counter – just like how Hoffenheim did it against the German champions. With that in mind, how about Real Madrid on Asian Handicap +0.75 @ 1.90 for another 🌟 bet?
