Cleveland’s Struggles are the Talk of the Town

The Cleveland Cavaliers know that they cannot defy pre-season betting odds favouring the Golden State Warriors if they can’t convincingly win regular season games. LeBron James probably knows that better than anyone in the league.

However, they aren’t making a case for themselves when they struggle against an Indiana Pacers team without Myles Turner holding it down low. While there are many teams worth talking about, betting websites and the rest of the sports betting world just can’t believe how the Cavs are mightily struggling.

Utah Jazz 88-99 Charlotte Hornets

I was right on the money when I predicted that Donovan Mitchell would blow off for the Jazz. However, his 35 points aren’t enough to lift his injury-ridden squad past the Utah Jazz. Kemba Walker, Dwight Howard and the rest of the starters had a field day ensuring that the scoring load was evenly distributed.

Cleveland Cavaliers 95-97 Indiana Pacers

The most baffling thing about this defeat is not the Cavs’ third straight loss, but the fact that they let go of a 22-point lead and allowed the Pacers a way back into the game. LeBron James should be livid and expect the Cleveland front office to make a move any moment now.

Orlando Magic 119-125 Washington Wizards

The Magic did all they could to snap their skid, but the Wizards at home proved to be too tough of a challenge for them. John Wall and Bradley Beal were on fire for DC, combining for a grand total of 60 points.

Brooklyn Nets 110-105 Atlanta Hawks

Spencer Dinwiddie popped off in this battle of the stragglers. His 20-point, 10-assist performance was more than vital to help the Nets snap up the W. Meanwhile, Dennis Schroder was left all by himself as the rest of the Hawks failed to play well at home.

Golden State Warriors 108-94 Milwaukee Bucks

This loss is not a knock on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s talents as a player; this game is a testament to the incredible talent and skill this current Warriors team has. Draymond Green and Kevin Durant did most of the heavy lifting for the Dubs in terms of scoring, but the rest of the Warriors played beautiful team ball to secure the win.

New York Knicks 108-118 Minnesota Timberwolves

Kristaps Porzingis did everything he can to upset the Timberwolves at home, but Karl-Anthony Towns just lit up in the fourth and sealed the game. KAT was there to cover the bases of Andrew Wiggins and Jimmy Butler, both of whom were suffering from poor shooting nights.

Portland Trail Blazers 113-119 New Orleans Pelicans

Damian Lillard’s tilting spree may continue as his Trail Blazers crumble in front of DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis. Jusuf Nurkic and Al-Farouq Aminu struggled in containing New Orlean’s twin towers, negating the efforts of Lillard and CJ McCollum. Portland’s bench didn’t provide that much relief, either.

Memphis Grizzlies 78-87 Denver Nuggets

The Grizzlies were doing fine during the first half, but Michael Malone’s adjustments during the half-time break turned things around for the Nuggets and get the win at home. Nikola Jokic had another good night at the four spot, but Will Barton and Trey Lyles are the heroes of Mile High City tonight.

Houston Rockets 112-95 Phoenix Suns

Nobody really thought the Suns were going to upset the Rockets after what they did to Portland. While Devin Booker was able to put a solid number on Eric Gordon, Chris Paul was still free to pass the ball around and do whatever he wanted. All of Houston’s starters scored in double figures while Phoenix only had Booker, TJ Warren and Dragan Bender to count on.
