Domination and upsets greet sports betting fans

The first day of the 2017 NBA Playoffs has sparked many interesting stories of overwhelming wins and eye-opening upsets. Today’s set of games adds thrill and points consider for the future picks of the game’s online betting community.

The Warriors just showed us why they are the favourites of many betting websites to win it all while Chicago put out a message to the rest of the Eastern Conference. Today’s games will make the next ones a must-watch!

Atlanta Hawks 107-114 Washington Wizards

This game was a masterful showing for John Wall and the Washington Wizards. The hosts outplayed the Hawks for the majority of the game. While the Hawks were able to wrestle back the lead in the second quarter, Scott Brooks made the necessary adjustments at half-time to regain control of the game. Tim Hardaway Jr. was the weakest link in the Hawks’ starting unit.

Portland Trail Blazers 109-121 Golden State Warriors

The game was a lot more entertaining than what the final score tells. CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard combined for almost 80 of the Trail Blazers’ 109 points and kept Portland in contention for the bulk of the game. However, their supporting cast failed them defensively as Kevin Durant and the rest of the Warriors shot from everywhere and ran away with the game in the fourth.

Chicago Bulls 106-102 Boston Celtics

Despite Chicago barely getting into the playoffs, all teams understand that to dismiss the Bulls is a great sin. Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics played the brand of basketball that got them the first seed but found Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and the rest of the Bulls hard to keep away. The signings of Wade and Rajon Rondo are starting to make sense for the Chicago faithful.

Oklahoma City Thunder 87-118 Houston Rockets

The final score of the game should not be the barometer of the individual greatness of Russell Westbrook and James Harden. Both of these MVP favourites will always play fantastic basketball no matter where they go. Houston’s overwhelming victory proved that a good supporting cast can take a franchise player far to the playoffs. And Russell Westbrook doesn’t have what Harden has.
