It’s a happy day for the NBA East leaders

After going into a winless stretch that surprised betting websites and the whole online gambling community, the NBA Eastern Conference contenders are now back to winning ways.

Moreover, although some signs of their previous problems remain, Cleveland, Toronto and Boston will all still be happy with the results of today’s live betting basketball action.

Sacramento Kings 111-115 Indiana Pacers

Paul George scored six of his 33 points in overtime to power Indiana over Sacramento despite trailing by as much as 16 points. George also made the two free throws that extended the match, rendering DeMarcus Cousins’ 26-16 display useless.

Orlando Magic 98-128 Boston Celtics

Boston didn’t need Isaiah Thomas’ fourth-quarter explosion as they led by 39 points at the end of the third quarter. Six players scored in double figures for the Celtics, with Thomas making 21 points and eight assists and Jaylen Brown contributing 20 points and eight boards.

Orlando, meanwhile, had Nikola Vucevic and Damian Rudez as highest scorers with 14 each.

Brooklyn Nets 116-124 Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers finally snapped their losing streak with a win over the Nets, thanks to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving who combined for 59 points. However, they still have a lot of work to do in their defence after allowing Brooklyn to shoot 49.4 percent from the field and 48.5 percent from three.

Milwaukee Bucks 86-102 Toronto Raptors

It’s also a good day for Toronto as they ended their winless drought, just like their East rival Cavaliers. Kyle Lowry carried the scoring load for the Raps in the absence of DeMar DeRozan, but the All-Star point guard also got a much-needed help from Norman Powell who recorded 19 points on an efficient shooting clip.

Charlotte Hornets 107-110 New York Knicks

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 18 points and 11 rebounds, including a fadeaway jumper that gave them some breathing space with 13 seconds left on the clock. Kristaps Porzingis also helped the Knicks with his 18 points and three blocks as they spoiled Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum’s double-double performances for Charlotte.

Houston Rockets 123-118 Philadelphia 76ers

James Harden solidified his MVP case with a 51-point triple-double explosion against the surging 76ers. The game was close up until the end of the second quarter, but Harden caught fire after the break and scored 36 points in the second half.

Miami Heat 100-88 Chicago Bulls

Despite playing without Hassan Whiteside, Miami managed to edge the Bulls and seize their sixth straight victory. Willie Reed did well in filling the void left by Whiteside, while the backcourt duo of Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters stepped up to power the Heat’s offence. Though, it’s also a fortunate day for them as Jimmy Butler went one for 13 from the field.

San Antonio Spurs 103-119 New Orleans Pelicans

An overall poor shooting night from San Antonio saw their five-game winning run come to an end. It also didn’t help them that Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge shot under 40 percent from the field.

New Orleans, on the other hand, had an obviously better shooting game with seven players – led by Jrue Holiday – registering double-digit scores.

Washington Wizards 112-86 Atlanta Hawks

Otto Porter’s all-around performance (21 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals) paced Washington to win over Atlanta. The soaring Hawks also never got it going in the game as their offence faltered in front of Washington’s rock-solid defence.

Memphis Grizzlies 109-112 Portland Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard and Allen Crabbe combined for 56 points to give Portland a gritty win over Memphis. The Grizzlies’ defensive struggles were also as clear as day in the game as they allowed the Blazers to torch them with 16 three-pointers – a huge figure compared to their nine made shots from deep.
