It is indeed “home sweet home” for the Clips, Bulls, Wizards, Jazz and their online betting supporters as they all capped the day with thrilling victories on their home court.
The game in Mexico was also an event to remember for betting websites as the Suns surprised the betting odds with an upset of the surging Spurs.
Los Angeles Lakers 97-113 LA Clippers
A huge game from DeAndre Jordan and a fantastic display from Chris Paul ensured that the Clips get their revenge against their Los Angeles rivals. Both players recorded a double-double, with Jordan making 24 points and 21 rebounds on a spectacular 92.3 percent shooting clip.
Paul, meanwhile, had 20 points and 13 assists to keep their offence flowing throughout.
New Orleans Pelicans 99-107 Chicago Bulls
Anthony Davis had another strong performance wasted as the Bulls surged to victory in Jimmy Butler’s return from illness. Butler led the scoring for the Bulls with 28 points while Dwyane Wade chipped in 22. Taj Gibson was also influential in the game as his 16 boards helped Chicago outrebound New Orleans, 63-42, to snap their losing skid.
San Antonio Spurs 105-108 Phoenix Suns
It was another day in Mexico City to forget for Gregg Popovich and his Spurs as they bow down to the West’s bottom team. Devin Booker was sensational for Phoenix as he registered 39 points, including the running dunk that gave them some breathing space with under a minute left on the clock.
Kawhi Leonard came up big for San Antonio, but the other members of the starting unit lacked their usual productivity.
Philadelphia 76ers 93-109 Washington Wizards
Fatigue took a toll to the Sixers and they ran out of gas come the second half, giving the Wizards the opportunity to turn the game around. It also didn’t help Philadelphia that they were without the resting Joel Embiid as Washington took full control of the game behind a balanced offence.
The Wizards’ starting five all scored in double figures, with John Wall leading the run with 25 points and seven dimes.
Orlando Magic 107-114 Utah Jazz
Utah banked on a 17-5 run in the final three minutes of play to edge the hot-handed Orlando. Elfrid Payton flirted with a triple-double to pace the Magic; however, the Jazz’ depth and quality sparked the team’s fightback despite being down by 13 in the opening frame.
Gordon Hayward’s 23 points powered the Jazz, while Rudy Gobert also made his impact felt with 19 points and 19 rebounds.
