NBA: Mile High Western Showdown Awaits the Suns and Nuggets

The NBA-leading Suns visit the Nuggets in what will be a fun Western Conference clash as they’ll aim for their 60th victory of the season.

Phoenix are riding on a six-game winning streak and they’ll look to further bolster their SBOTOP NBA 2022 odds on securing the top seed ahead of the postseason.

Elsewhere, the Raptors, Bucks, Grizzlies, and Pelicans are all going to defend their homecourts as several East teams in the Cavaliers, Wizards, Pacers, and the Bulls will visit them on the road.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Toronto Raptors

This game between the Cavaliers and the Raptors will help determine certain playoff positions in the East. The Cavaliers are currently at sixth while the Raptors hold the first play-in spot at seventh place.

Both teams are coming off of losses as the Cavaliers were defeated by the Lakers and the Raptors were beaten by the Bulls.

All-Star Darius Garland and rookie sensation Evan Mobley have been the driving forces for the Cavs while Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet continue to lead the way for the Raptors.

Overall, we’re expecting this to be a close matchup that can go either way just like in their recent meeting almost two weeks ago.

Betting Tip: Cleveland Cavaliers Asian Handicap +3.50 @ 2.00

Washington Wizards @ Milwaukee Bucks

Will Khris Middleton contribute in their NBA clash versus the Washington Wizards?
Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton gets set for a three point basket against the Sacramento Kings during their game at the Golden 1 Center

The surging Bucks are peaking at the right time. After hovering around the fourth to the sixth spots in the East, now they’ve found themselves within the Top 2.

Khris Middleton was out during the Bucks’ win over the Bulls yesterday and he’s likely to return tomorrow, although head coach Mike Budenholzer might decide to rest either Jrue Holiday or Giannis Antetokounmpo this time.

The Wizards, on the other hand, are two places away from the play-in tournament as they’re currently at 12th with a 30-41 record.

Given the odd situation that they’re in, Wes Unseld Jr. and co. can decide on whether they will make a late run to the play-in or basically tank and look ahead for the next season.

Regardless, Kristaps Porzingis has been balling lately and he’ll be the focal point for the Wizards’ offense while Rui Hachimura and Corey Kispert should have more playing time moving forward.

Betting Tip: Milwaukee Bucks Asian Handicap -12.50 @ 2.04

Indiana Pacers @ Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies have shown that they can win without Ja Morant and they’ll look to prove that once again when they’ll host the Pacers tomorrow.

Memphis are 15-2 without their franchise point guard, who’s currently dealing with a sore knee. They are second in the Western Conference and since they’re going to make it back to the playoffs, they’re expected to take it easy on Morant.

Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton both played big when they defeated the Nets on Wednesday, which just goes to show their depth.

As for Indiana, they’re fresh from a brutal loss against Sacramento, although Buddy Hield and Tyrese Hailiburton both played great against their former club.

Chicago Bulls @ New Orleans Pelicans

The Bulls are trying to avoid slipping down to a play-in spot while the Pelicans are keen to hanging on to their play-in spot, so tomorrow’s game is crucial for both teams.

Chicago, who were once on top of the East, have slid to fifth place and they’re fresh from a blowout loss against defending champions Milwaukee.

DeMar DeRozan is questionable because of an adductor strain, while Zach LaVine is dealing with a sore left knee. Should either one of the two not play tomorrow, look for Nikola Vucevic to shoulder much of the load.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans are hopeful to some key reinforcements back.

Leading scorer Brandon ingram missed their last eight games due to a strained hamstring and he has practiced with the team, while Larry Nance Jr. is likely to make his Pelicans debut after undergoing knee surgery last month.

Betting Tip: Chicago Bulls Asian Handicap -1.50 @ 2.05

Phoenix Suns @ Denver Nuggets

A victory by the Suns tomorrow would essentially clinch the No. 1 seed in the West.

Phoenix got some great NBA 2022 news when Chris Paul has returned to practice this week. However, it remains to be seen on whether he is 100-per cent fit to play following a fractured right thumb since the All-Star break.

Nonetheless, the Suns are still formidable without him, although they’d prefer to have him back as soon as possible.

As for Denver, they’re coming off of a big win against the Clippers on Tuesday as they continue to rely on Nikola Jokic’s MVP heroics.

The Nuggets are sixth in the West right now and a victory over the West leaders would surely boost their playoff hopes.
