After a sizzling start to the season, when they were simply unplayable, the Thunder have had a mixed bag of results, highlighted by their three consecutive losses against the Spurs. The Mark Daigneault-coached squad finally broke their hoodoo against San Antonio on Tuesday, and suddenly they’re winners of five straight games.
The defending NBA champions will play the second game of their four-game road trip tomorrow, as they head to South Beach to face the Heat. After this, they will visit the Cavaliers and Bucks on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
Elsewhere, the Mavericks, Hawks, Pistons, Knicks, Spurs, Warriors, Nuggets, and Blazers will host the Jazz, Celtics, Pacers, Suns, Timberwolves, Hornets, Wizards, and Lakers to round out tomorrow’s nine-game schedule.
Here are the SBOTOP previews of the Top 3 games, as well as the NBA top NBA 2026 odds.
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Miami Heat
The Thunder followed up on their recent victory over the Spurs with a 111-91 road win over the Rockets on Thursday night, despite an off-night from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (by his lofty standards), who had 20 points, four rebounds, and two blocks on 6-for-11 shooting from the field and 7-for-8 shooting from the free throw line. Chet Holmgren, Ajay Mitchell, and Luguentz Dort added 18, 17, and 13 points.
Oklahoma City did their damage on the defencive end, as Houston shot only 34-per cent from the field and 29-per cent from three-point range. It was a close game throughout the first three quarters before the Thunder outscored the Rockets 34-16 in the final frame to pull away.
They will face the Heat, who have lost four of their last five. Miami are fresh from a 119-114 loss to Boston on Thursday night, as they failed to contain Anfernee Simons, who sparked the Celtics’ comeback with 39 points.
Norman Powell had 26 points and three rebounds, while Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins, and rookie Kasparas Jakucionis added 22, 22, 16, and 12 points. Moreover, after the game, head coach Erik Spoelstra revealed that Kel’el Ware is in the doghouse for his poor attitude, and it’ll be interesting to see how the sophomore center will respond in the next few days.
Betting tip – Oklahoma City Thunder Asian Handicap -9.00 @ 1.95
Minnesota Timberwolves @ San Antonio Spurs
The Timberwolves-Spurs game is arguably the marquee matchup for tomorrow’s nine-game slate, especially if Anthony Edwards (foot) is back in action. Minnesota are in the middle of a back-to-back set.
Without Edwards, the Timberwolves lost 110-105 to the Rockets on Friday night. Julius Randle did all he could to pick up the slack by contributing 39 points and four rebounds on 14-for-25 shooting from the field and 9-for-11 shooting from the charity stripe. Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, and Rudy Gobert added 25, 15, and 10 points in the losing effort.

Following their defeat against the Thunder, the Spurs bounced back with a 119-101 rout of the Bucks on Thursday evening. Victor Wembanyama, who made the NBA 2026 news headlines with his bald look, led San Antonio’s balanced effort with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five three-pointers, and two blocks on 7-for-12 shooting from the field. Stephon Castle, De’Aaron Fox, Julian Champagnie, Dylan Harper, and Luke Kornet added 19, 18, 13, 13, and 10 points.
While Edwards could return for Minnesota tomorrow, the same can’t be said for Devin Vassell, who will be out for the 10th consecutive contest due to a left adductor injury. The 25-year-old swingman is considered doubtful for their game against the Jazz on Monday.
Betting tip – San Antonio Spurs Asian Handicap -7.00 @ 2.04
Los Angeles Lakers @ Portland Trail Blazers
The Lakers have lost four of their last five, and are facing the prospect of missing up to three key players against the Blazers tomorrow. The team announced that Luka Doncic will miss Saturday’s game due to groin soreness, while Jaxson Hayes (hamstring) and Deandre Ayton (knee) are questionable to play.
Los Angeles are fresh from a 135-117 home loss against Charlotte on Thursday. Doncic had 39 points, three rebounds, four assists, and six three-pointers on 15-for-26 shooting. LeBron James, Jake LaRavia, Deandre Ayton, and Marcus Smart added 29, 18, 12, and 10 points.
Meanwhile, the Blazers ended their two-game losing streak with a 117-101 win over the Hawks on Thursday. Shaedon Sharpe poured in 24 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 8-for-15 shooting from the field. Jerami Grant, Rayan Rupert, Caleb Love, Jrue Holiday, and Toumani Camara added 16, 13, 12, 12, and 11 points. Deni Avdija (back) is expected to miss his third straight game tomorrow.
Betting tip – Portland Trail Blazers Asian Handicap -2.50 @ 1.87
