Handicap Betting’s the Best Way for Super City

Manchester City swept Swansea aside with an electrifying display of football to tell the world, yet again, just how good they really are.

Betting odds on the title returning to the Etihad continue to fall as the Sky Blues carry on breaking records, the latest being a winning run of 15 Premier League football games.

Swansea City 0-4 Manchester City

The only way the Swans could possibly compete with City would be for a weighty handicap to help them. David Silva was unmarked to convert a cross from Bernardo Silva on 27 minutes and, not long after, Kevin De Bruyne curled in a beauty to make it two. David Silva scored his second after Raheem Sterling put him in to chip over Lukasz Fabianski, and Sergio Aguero added a brilliant fourth.

Huddersfield Town 1-3 Chelsea

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea responded to its weekend defeat by easing to victory up in Yorkshire. Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willian and Pedro put the Blues firmly in charge but there was some cheer for the Terriers when Laurent Depoitre headed an injury time consolation.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

Spurs are up to fourth after camping in the Brighton half for 90 minutes; but the opening goal came from an unlikely source when Serge Aurier crossed for Harry Kane, only to see his cross fly into the net. Kane hit a post late on but Heung-Min Son finally made the points safe on 87 minutes.

Liverpool 0-0 West Bromwich Albion

Alan Pardew’s West Brom put in a superb away performance to frustrate Liverpool, and almost stunned the Kop when Hal Robson-Kanu clipped the Liverpool crossbar. Dominic Solanki came closest for the Reds, having a goal harshly disallowed and a shot cleared off the line.

Burnley 1-0 Stoke City

The Clarets stay in among the big guns after grinding out another win at Turf Moor against struggling Stoke. On a blustery and snowy night in Lancashire, pretty football was never really on the cards but Burnley stuck to their task and substitute Ashley Barnes smashed home the winner on 89 minutes.

West Ham United 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal is a point back in seventh, but can’t complain after drawing this one. Four points from Chelsea and Arsenal is a great return for David Moyes’ West Ham but it could so easily have been six when Mark Noble put in Javier Hernandez who hit the bar from seven yards.

Southampton 1-4 Leicester City

Another great win for the Foxes was always on when the Saints defence parted on 11 minutes for Riyad Mahrez to run through and hit a super drive low into the net. Shinji Okazaki made it two on 31 minutes, after some desperate defence, and Andy King added another on 38. The Saints did pull one back when Dusan Tadic flicked home from a Yoshida header, but Okazaki ended any hopes of a revival.

Newcastle United 0-1 Everton

Sam Allardyce can smile after putting his former employers in more difficulty. A minute after Matt Ritchie had hit the Everton post Wayne Rooney took advantage of a Karl Darlow error to poke home the only goal of the game. Mikel Merino smashed the visitors’ post again, but Everton held out as Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey saw red.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Watford FC

The Eagles snatched an astonishing win after trailing Watford for 86 minutes. Daryl Janmaat’s third minute strike looked to have won it, but when Tom Cleverley was sent off on 87 minutes Palace took advantage, and goals from Bakary Sako and James McArthur sent the home fans wild.
