It’s still awfully tight at the top of Serie A and with 14 league football games to go, this is no time to lose your nerve.
You can test your own skill and poise by joining in the action with Asian Handicap Betting while the players and coaches sweat it out on the pitch. A single point separates Napoli and Juventus at the summit and the race for Champions League places is getting hotter by the week.
And spare a thought for fans of SPAL, Verona, and Benevento. The three promoted sides are all in the drop zone…now that is pressure.
WEEK 25 SATURDAY:
Udinese vs AS Roma
Roma are the first of the big guns to take to the pitch when they make the trip to Udinese. Eusebio Di Francesco’s team occupies the coveted fourth place and will be sweating on that this weekend. Tenth-placed Udinese is unbeaten in five at home and Roma are at 1.88 to end that run.
WEEK 25 SUNDAY:
Chievo vs Cagliari
These two teams are relatively comfortable, for the moment, in 16th and 14th, but there’s still work to be done while the bottom three fight for their Serie A lives. Chievo, just five points clear and on a run of four defeats, are in bigger trouble than their visitors, who are unbeaten in three.
Genoa vs Inter Milan
Inter sit a place above, in third, having won last week to end a sequence of five consecutive draws. That means they are only two points clear of Lazio in fifth, so a trip to Genoa will be a nervy affair. The hosts have won the last two, including beating Lazio and are at 3.30 to wreck Inter’s weekend. The visitors are at 2.25 and a likely draw at 3.10.
Torino vs Juventus
It could be a good weekend for the leaders, particularly if Torino can trouble the Bianconeri. Eleven points from five games have taken the hosts up to ninth and this could be a good time for them to face Juve, who showed a rare glimpse of fallibility in throwing away a two-goal lead to Spurs in midweek.
Napoli vs SPAL
Lorenzo Insigne has been pulling the strings for Napoli, as the league’s top assister, while 15- goal Dries Mertens is the chief beneficiary. Can they hold Juve at bay? Well, they certainly need to sweep SPAL aside. Two points from six games has left the newcomers four points from safety and that’s unlikely to improve on Sunday.
Bologna vs Sassuolo
Bologna have lost three on the run but still have a ten-point cushion from the relegation zone, while Sassuolo are four points worse off and not out of the woods yet, having gone six without a win. The draw at 2.99 looks like decent value.
Benevento vs Crotone
Bottom club Benevento set their fans’ pulses racing with a couple of wins but, sadly, another four defeats have put paid to that. Now 14 points adrift, a rapid return to Serie B looks inevitable, which is good news at least for Crotone, currently in 17th and unbeaten in four.
WEEK 25 MONDAY:
Atalanta vs Fiorentina
Eighth plays 11th and it’s the home team in form, having taken seven points from three games and still well in the hunt for a Europa place. The Violas are on the slide again, with three defeats in four and with a third of the season to go, not a whole lot to get excited about.
AC Milan vs Sampdoria
Fabio Quagliarella has been in eye-catching form, taking his season tally to 17 as Sampdoria hold on to sixth place. But Gennaro Gattuso has got Milan on the charge in 7th, three points behind and with four wins in five. Milan are at 1.93 to win with a -0.75 goal handicap.
WEEK 25 TUESDAY:
Lazio vs Hellas Verona
Verona coach Fabio Pecchia has his work cut out to avoid his team making a swift return to the second tier. With five defeats in six, his Verona are five points from safety. Lazio, on the hunt for a Champions League place and with 20-goal Ciro Immobile still the league top scorer, are unlikely to show any sympathy!
