This is the gift that keeps on giving!

Another weekend of Premier League betting.

Another weekend of dramatic football games.

You sports betting fans can always expect plenty to talk about in the soap opera that is the English Premier League.

Manchester United 1-1 Bournemouth

Against all the odds, Bournemouth earned their first ever point at Old Trafford.

Unfortunate to be reduced to 10 men on the stroke of half-time, they scored with their one shot on target and defended doggedly thereafter, particularly goalkeeper Artur Boruc, to frustrate the hosts.

After an unsavoury period towards the end of the first half, defender Tyrone Mings and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic can expect three-match bans.

Leicester City 3-1 Hull City

Suddenly all is better in the world of the reigning champions.

Two 3-1 home victories in the space of five days have lifted the gloom around the King Power Stadium and have increased the credentials of Craig Shakespeare as he bids for the full-time managerial position.

Claudio Ranieri will rightly question where the last two performances have come from.

Hull have improved under Marco Silva, but they soon need to turn performances into victories.

Stoke City 2-0 Middlesbrough

Boro are now in the drop zone and, if form is anything to go by, are in trouble.

They have not scored in four games and the loss of Daniel Ayala early in this one robbed them some of some of their defensive fortitude.

In the end, Marko Arnautovic’s first-half double ensured Stoke bounced back from their drubbing at Spurs.

Swansea City 3-2 Burnley

In Fernando Llorente, Swansea have a striker of real class and with another top talent in Gylfi Sigurdsson, the turnaround under Paul Clement has been vast.

This was an exciting contest at the Liberty Stadium where the Swans have been impressive since Clement arrived – he has not only bought well but got the best out of those he inherited.

Burnley played their part but, their away-day blues continue – they have two points from 13 away Premier League matches all season.

Watford 3-4 Southampton

A seven-goal thriller at Vicarage Road as the Saints showed real quality in attack.

Their progress under Claude Puel has been encouraging, and after their unfortunate League Cup Final defeat, they deserved these points.

Manolo Gabbiadini became the first Saints player to score in his opening three league games for the club after a Heurelho Gomes mistake.

West Brom 0-2 Crystal Palace

Now ‘Big Sam’ has Palace up and running.

Two wins out of two and the Eagles are out of the bottom three.

With talent like Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend, who both scored at the Hawthorns, that was enough to settle a contest low on chances as West Brom missed the chance to close the gap on seventh-placed Everton.

Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal

Was this another key game which defined Arsene Wenger’s reign?

Like so many in recent years, it was for the wrong reasons as Alexis Sanchez was dropped to the bench and the move backfired.

Liverpool have made a habit of scoring early on in their Anfield clashes with the Gunners and did so again – they were in fine form, Arsenal were insipid.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 Everton

Oh Harry Kane, what a player you are becoming!

He has now scored 14 goals in 12 league and cup games in 2017 and is the Premier League’s leading scorer with 19 goals.

His double here won the game for the hosts in what finished as a five-goal thriller but, in truth, was more comfortable for 80 minutes than the scoreline suggests.

Both these clubs continue to move in the right direction.

Sunderland 0-2 Manchester City

As long as Jermain Defoe remains fit, Sunderland have a chance of survival.

He hit the post here and had a goal disallowed.

But the rock-bottom Wearsiders would be all but relegated already without their pocket dynamo.

City’s riches in comparison were obvious when, with 13 minutes remaining, Yaya Toure came off and Kevin de Bruyne replaced him.
