In theory, the semi-finals of the Champions League should offer football games on a knife edge, when the outcome is unclear until the very last kick.
That may not necessarily be the case this time but that hasn’t made my betting tips any easier to determine.

Real Madrid have an aura in the Champions League.
Their domination of the competition in recent seasons (three successes in the past four years) has lifted them to 12 European Cup wins, well clear of any other club.
That they won in Germany last week, hot on the heels of impressive triumphs over Juventus and Paris St Germain, was further proof.
Their experience and pedigree to win, even when not at their best, was again evident, just as in the second leg of their quarter-final.
Bayern’s pedigree in European football is also well known, in fact they have pushed Real closer than anyone in recent tournaments.
I feel this will be close but Bayern just have too many injuries to prevail.
With Arturo Vidal and Jerome Boateng out and Javier Martinez and Arjen Robben unlikely to make it, it’s hard to bet against Real progressing overall.
I will go for a 🌟🌟🌟 tip of first half over 1.50 goals @ 2.14 and a 🌟 prediction of 1X2 draw @ 3.45.
AS Roma vs Liverpool (May 03, 02:45 GMT +8)
The maths is simple – Roma need to score three times against Liverpool to progress, just as they managed against Barcelona in the quarter-final.
Only problem is they can’t concede a goal against a side which netted five times against them in a blistering Anfield display.
Against Chievo in Serie A at the weekend, Roma scored twice, hit the woodwork twice and had a goal disallowed, all inside the opening 45 minutes.
If they can have a first half like that in the Stadio Olimpico they will give themselves a chance but Chievo are hardly Liverpool.
I simply can’t see it and feel this tie is over, although it will be attacking and wide open in terms of how the match progresses.
