AS Roma vs Paris Saint-Germain
The International Champions Cup is an interesting time for football. Not only do these football games bring the Beautiful Game to as many people as possible, they also provide competition back at home an interesting peek on how their upcoming seasons will fan out.
The first match of the North American leg is between the bridesmaids of Ligue 1 and Serie A. Both PSG and Roma have made moves to better their betting odds of winning their respective leagues. Both of these clubs have enough talent to put live betting fans in a daze.
We shall first turn our attention to PSG. Despite losing the Ligue 1 title to Monaco last season, they still have such a formidable force going for them. Julian Draxler, Thiago Silva, Javier Pastore, and Edinson Cavani still make PSG one of the world’s most formidable clubs. The addition of Yuri Berchiche and Dani Alves hopes to shore up the backline and focus on the attack.
Meanwhile, it’s really interesting to see how Roma’s midfield will look like after Mohamed Salah’s departure. Roma made good use of the Salah money, bringing in Juan Jesus, Cengiz Under and Rick Karsdorp. Roma won’t have any problems scoring with Edin Dzeko, Stephan El Shaarawy, and Deigo Perrotti lurking in front of goal. Radja Nainggolan will also be stepping up for Eusebio Di Francesco’s men, now that they’ve lost a bit of their edge on the wings.
The question now lies on whether PSG’s star-studded lineup will be able to counter Roma’s high-scoring football. This game has goals written all over it, but I see this ending in a draw. It’s still too early in the preseason, and both teams will be more focused on finding their form than winning the game.
With that being said, punters will be tempted to bet on Roma’s Asian Handicap Odds of +0.50 @ 2.08.
