Four defeats in five games – and that train station exchange with angry fans – have hardly helped morale and the club’s board may be forgiven for getting tetchy.
West Ham, in contrast, have some positivity after pushing Man City close before seeing off Chelsea and holding Arsenal in the space of five days.
They also know victory will lift them out of the bottom three and above Stoke.
I don’t feel, however, Hughes’ time is up just yet.
Stoke didn’t deserve to lose at Burnley in midweek and my 🌟🌟 prediction is for them to do Hughes proud – Asian Handicap -0.50 Stoke @ 2.25.
Everton vs Swansea City (December 19, 04:00 GMT+8)
What a difference a fortnight can make!
The arrival of Sam Allardyce has worked wonders at Everton who are suddenly in the top half of the table and unbeaten since his appointment.
Swansea had a morale boosting win last weekend but have found themselves back at the foot of the table.
