Indeed, three of these four Champions League football games are all but finished before a ball has even been kicked in the second leg.
Such are the advantages the champions of Germany and France hold going into their return fixtures as the betting odds suggest much of the work has been done.
Yet that doesn’t make suggesting betting tips any easier, especially as pride comes before a fall.
Arsenal vs Bayern Munich (March 8, 03:45 GMT+8)
Make no mistake, this tie is over.
Bayern can even afford to lose 3-0 at the Emirates and progress; such was the battering they dished out to the Gunners in Germany.
This will undoubtedly be the third time in six seasons in which Munich have knocked out Arsenal.
However, they will restore a little pride in this second leg, so my 🌟🌟 tip is Draw No Bet Arsenal @ 2.36.
Napoli vs Real Madrid (March 8, 03:45 GMT+8)
An early Napoli goal, just like Lorenzo Insigne managed in the first leg, is the only possible scenario which would make me even consider the holders being knocked out here.
I simply can’t see it happening.
For since Napoli’s spirited showing at the Bernabeu just over a fortnight ago, they have been inconsistency personified.
They have lost at home to Atalanta, they have been beaten by Juventus in the Coppa Italia, and then they went to Rome and won – a Dries Mertens double all but ending the title race.
Whether they can throw down the gauntlet against the best side on the continent, though, is another matter.
Hence, I’m going for 2 x 🌟 bets:
Asian Handicap -0.25 Real Madrid @ 2.12 and 1X2 Draw @ 3.25.
Barcelona vs PSG (March 9, 03:45 GMT+8)
The Catalans may be going out.
Certainly, never before in the history of the Champions League has a side overcome a 4-0 first leg deficit to progress.
But suddenly, the picture seems clearer.
News that boss Luis Enrique is departing means there will be a change this summer, and players who have been well below par this season will want to prove their long-term future remains at the Nou Camp.
It may not be enough to pull back the Parisians’ lead, secured through Julian Draxler, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria’s double, but they will win.
Again, 2 x 🌟🌟🌟 bets for me are First Half Asian Handicap -0.50 Barcelona @ 1.97 and Asian Handicap -1.25 Barcelona @ 1.95.
Borussia Dortmund vs Benfica (March 9, 03:45 GMT+8)
Realistically, this is the only tie that isn’t all but over before the second leg kicks off.
Dortmund will start as favourites and will feel they can overturn the one-goal reverse they suffered in the first leg.
Remember, this German club topped their qualifying group from Real and have been free-scoring – their latest victory saw them put six past Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
Despite all that, I expect this to be extremely tight and low scoring.
My 🌟 tip is total goal 2-3 @ 2.08.
