Group E sees current leaders Sevilla visit the Otkrytiye Arena in Russia to take on Spartak Moscow. The hosts have started with two draws and will make it difficult. Five-time winners Liverpool must get their campaign going in Maribor after two opening draws.
WEDNESDAY
I fear for Celtic on a visit to Bayern Munich where the hosts will be focussed on repairing the damage done by a 3-0 thumping in Paris. Group B Leaders PSG visit pointless Anderlecht, with their star man Neymar demanding UEFA expels Barcelona from the tournament in a dispute over a bonus payment!
I doubt Group D leaders Barcelona will be taking that too seriously as they prepare to host bottom team Olympiacos. Last year’s beaten finalists Juventus host Sporting Lisbon. Both are on three points, and the Bianconeri should win to stay in touch with Barca.
What a game at Stamford Bridge in Group C, where leaders Chelsea take on Roma, just two behind on four points. Atletico Madrid, currently with one point, must win against Qarabag FK and hope the top two play out a draw.
Group A is witness to the return of Manchester United to the Champions League, and the Red Devils head to Benfica to try to maintain their 100 percent record. CSKA Moscow host Basel, both on three points and with realistic hopes of qualification.
