What a way to end an exciting Bundesliga season!

Borussia Dortmund 4-3 Werder Bremen

Bayern Munich celebrated winning the title in style, but it’s Dortmund who have a lot more to be happy about as they delighted their live betting fans at Signal Iduna Park with a heart-stopping win over Bremen that gave them an automatic qualification to the Champions League.

Betting odds are tight between Dortmund and Hoffenheim on who will finish third, and most betting websites have the two battling it out until the end. However, BVB had the last laugh with the Sinsheimers failing to get three points against Augsburg.

To add more to the festivity and celebration for Dortmund, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ended the season as the league’s top scorer with 31 goals – one more of Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski – which paved his way for the Torjagerkanone.

It wasn’t an easy victory for BVB though as they needed to battle back twice in the game to repulse the surging Green-Whites who took the lead as early as seven minutes through Zlatko Junuzovic.

Dortmund deservedly equalised with Marco Reus’ excellent low finish, and they went up just a couple of minutes before the break through Aubameyang who met a risky Ousmane Dembele pass and fired home an over-the-shoulder volley.

Of course, Bremen—who was also looking for European qualification—didn’t go down easily. Fin Bartels levelled matters immediately after the restart with a close-range strike before Max Kruse restored their lead with a deflected finish near the post.

However, playing on a mission, Reus and Aubameyang went on target again to seize control of the game.  Both players scored from the penalty spot, with Aubameyang putting the finishing touch with a clean winner from 12 yards in the 89th minute.

With the victory, Thomas Tuchel’s men are guaranteed to play on Europe’s biggest stage despite their constant struggles this season.

Hoffenheim, meanwhile, will finish fourth and could face a tricky tie to qualify for the Champions League after their goalless stalemate with Augsburg.

On the other hand, Cologne will return to European football after 25 years following their 2-0 drubbing of Mainz which secured them a spot in the Europa League

In the thriller in the basement, Hamburg escaped the drop with a 2-1 edge over Wolfsburg who will now play in the relegation play-offs to determine their fate.
