Mexican Grand Prix
If you ask any sports betting fan about the current status of the 2017 Formula 1 season, almost all of them will say that this is Hamilton’s season to lose.
The Mercedes driver has impressed fans throughout the course of the season, fighting through a red-hot start by Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari to arrive in Mexico with a 66-point lead over his German rival. Hamilton only needs to win fifth in order to secure the win, but betting websites still look at him as favourites. SBOBET gives him 1.80 outright betting odds to win in Mexico.
Vettel (3.50) is proud of what Ferrari has done for the season, but the man is far from giving up the fight. Their machine is more than ready to take on the swinging layout of the track and try to spark a late run to the title.
Valtteri Bottas (13.00) has taken himself out of the championship picture, but the Finn will still be a pesky driver for Ferrari. Mercedes’ team unity is at an all-time high, so expect Bottas to ensure Hamilton’s victory in Mexico. Kimi Raikkonen (21.00) will also be trying to do the same for Vettel.
Max Verstappen (5.00) is fuming at the post-race penalty he incurred in the United States, so fans will expect more aggressive driving from the 20-year-old. As always, fans can expect reliable racing from Daniel Ricciardo (11.00).
If Vettel wants to keep his championship hopes alive, he needs the drivers from the other teams to pick up their slack. Niko Hulkenberg, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz should up their pace and stop Hamilton from winning in the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
The race will be intense, and the season is on the line. Will Vettel survive to fight another day? Or will Hamilton end the season here?
We’ll find out once the three red lights go off.
