These ladies all want to win!

Miami Open Women’s SF

We’re down to four women left in the Miami Open, and betting websites are buzzing over whom to back in this live betting extravaganza!

Venus Williams beat online betting favourite Angelique Kerber in straight sets, making the title a free-for-all where every single player has a chance of lifting the beautiful trophy. Who will win this year?

Venus Williams vs Johanna Konta

Venus Williams is in top form, making deep runs in many of the notable tournaments early in the year. Her performance in this tournament is also worthy of praise: she beat Svetlana Kuznetsova and Angelique Kerber in straight sets.

Regardless of Williams’ achievements thus far, Britain’s Johanna Konta will be a troublesome opponent for her. Konta has also made great strides in many of the early hardcourt tournaments. Moreover, Williams was soundly beaten by the Brit in Melbourne and Stanford last year.

This will be a test for the veteran and this game could go the distance. I do have to say that I feel good about Williams’ chances are good this time around, though. She has been dominant throughout the tournament and shows no sign of slowing down. Punters may be intrigued by Konta’s -1.50 @ 2.78, but Williams with +1.50 @ 1.40 should not be disregarded altogether.

Caroline Wozniacki vs Karolina Pliskova

Wozniacki and Pliskova are having a great season so far and should give us an entertaining match of tennis. Both of these women have made deep runs in many of the tournaments they’ve been in. In fact, they just faced off in the Doha final last month; Pliskova emerged victorious after a 6-3, 6-4 match.

The former World No1 will be eager for revenge. She’s yet to win her first tournament of the year, and Miami’s the perfect theatre to win her first tournament this year. Pliskova’s serves will make life difficult for the Danish tennis star, but her return game should even things out.

This game can be tough to call for punters: risk-takers will be thrilled by the 2.63 odds on Pliskova with a -1.50 handicap. Meanwhile, Wozniacki gets 1.45 for +1.50. Both have similar performances in this tournament thus far so the winner is not as clear-cut as it should be.
